About

I am a homespun academic who is trained in International Relations. My fundamental intellectual preoccupations relate to the broader global politics of knowledge, theorizing in and for the global South and residing in a close pursuit of the intersections of international relations and international law. I have been much inclined in recent years to pursue developments in cognition studies and their implications for our fundamental premises in the social sciences and humanities. I am the author of Banning the Bomb: The Politics of Norm Creation, two co-edited anthologies on International Relations in India, a co-edited volume titled, International Relations: Perspectives for the Global South apart from assorted journal articles. I enjoy swimming most of all and acquiring new mortar skills (the violin being the latest addition to this list). I am working consistently on developing a much stronger empathy muscle and realize there is still a long distance to traverse.
